American Helix pipes are designed to enhance the smoking experience, while the air cuts down on waste.Īmerican Helix by GRAV brings cutting edge glassware technology to smoking, adding a new dimension to create a visually stunning experience. A bulbous shape adds air into the glass, meaning the smoke cools down, creating a smooth experience upon inhalation.Īmerican Helix pipe products are recommended because our lungs can’t take too much smoke all at once. The helix percolator has a main chamber, and its bulb-like shape with small slits make it easy for spinning and altering the smoke in various directions. This means instantly clearer filtration for the smoke before it’s even at the percolator. This funnels the fluid which increases with velocity as it passes through the pipe. The cyclone also boosts the smoke’s speed as it forces the cloud into. The conical shape creates a tornado-like that ventilates the smoke, which works like an alcohol decanter that circulates wine as it dispenses. In a helix chamber, smoke either from dry herbs or concentrates, moves through a Venturi chamber. Helix pipe uses the genetic code’s remarkable shape to give clean, smooth, and revolving hits. American Helix pipes are however, a new and versatile concept that has for the past decade, given pipe smokers a new way to visually enjoy a smooth smoking experience. Smoking devices are nothing new – bongs have been found in Central Asia and Africa, and people were smoking out of golden bongs about 2,400 years ago. The CORSA C7 Cat-Connect X-pipe fits all Corvette models. At the time, they had a very slick method of making variable-pitched multi-diameter helixes using a chart: I believe SolidWorks does have the tools, but I don't use SW anymore, and didn't use it at the time. Your challenge is simpler, but I can see that Inventor still doesn't have the tools necessary to get this job done. what a PITA making the documentation for the parts using imported step files! I used Rhino3D instead of Inventor, b/c I couldn't get inventor to flatten the helix parts. I think the way I did it was 'good enough', b/c all parts had to be flattened so the laser machine could cut them. The drawings had a note on them, "shop fit connections", which means the shop guys had to setup the helix inside the drum (confined space!), then heat up the flatbar at the ends with a rosebud, and hammer them into shape so the connections made smooth transitions. So I resorted to 'fudge factor' by making the helix in segments, then 'fudged' the connections. So then I tried doing it in Rhino3D, and it was impossible. I tried doing it w/Inventor, and it was impossible. A number of years ago I had the challenge to make a multi-pitched, tapered diameter helical flatbar spiral that goes inside a cement mixer drum.
